So if you're reading this, you are new to this site, and can't wait to join the roleplay, I'll go straight to the point so I won't delay you for too long. As you can tell, this is the Elemuntus RP Forum; Elemuntus is a world I created years ago and have converted into a forum RP. As the Owner of the Forum, I welcome you and ask for you to enjoy yourself and have fun. But, just as with anyone else, I have a few reasonable rules and would like for you to follow them. I'll also be in the RP, so me and the staff won't enjoy it when we see rulebreakers in our threads, and will act as soon as we possibly can. For any additional questions for me or the other staff, go to the Questions and Help Section of the forums to ask any questions you need to make.
But for now the rules for the forums and RP:

Character guidelines:
But for now the rules for the forums and RP:
- No God-modding – That means doing anything that should be impossible for your character, based on its accepted character profile, or doing anything that is impossible for any character in the game, or that is against the rules of the lore.
- No Meta-gaming – Never use the info you know in OOC (Out of Character) as something that your character knows. Avoid mixing IC knowledge with OOC knowledge, such as you can't know about a character's name or following a character's actions (like hearing them whispering something or seeing them in a crowd) unless you are involved with them, the character is well known, or famous.
- No mindless killings – Do not kill off player's characters or important NPCs without permission. There's a chance that someone will kill characters every once in a while, but you can never kill another player's characters without their permission in OOC (out of character), because of the possible time they put into that character. With that in mind, just because your character can't be killed without your permission, it does not mean that you can go around doing things that should have him be killed.
- Limit lightning posts – This being a Forum RP, please limit quick and short posts, because people may be trying to post at the same time as you and can't keep up with you, also the short posts will seem very bland.
- Limited swearing and language – I rather not have people cursing every second in this forum. Also, there will be children, and possibly their parents, visiting this site, so I'd rather keep swearing at worst at PG-13 to keep this place as clean as possible. No adult rping – To add to the limited swearing and language rule, NO ADULT ROLEPLAYING AT THIS SITE. OC relationships are allowed, just keep it PG-13 and under. ALSO, GOLEMS DON'T PROCREATE, SO NONE OF THAT HERE AS WELL.
- No Mary Sues or Sad OCs – A Mary-Sue is a specific kind of character that is usually considered literately reprehensible and otherwise unpleasant for others to play alongside. A Mary-Sue is any character (of any gender, age, race, or species) who fits one or more of these descriptions:
- A character who’s too perfect, lacking realistic or logical flaws, or whose flaws do not affect them in real ways.
- A character who’s exactly like their creator, except idealized or made “better”. (E.g. more attractive, smarter, given skills, abilities, and powers the creator wishes they could have.) Essentially, the creator is inserting themselves into the story, but without the flaws, quirks & limits that make them interesting and real. Users are often discouraged from creating characters who would be described as, "He's based off me," especially since that comes with the extra risk of violating the 'avoid mixing IC and OOC' rule.
- A character who’s far too powerful, especially whose abilities exceed that which is possible for his/her race in the setting of the story. Particularly if said character has abilities that do not exist within the boundaries of the story’s world. Often these characters are technically legitimate, but are very, "Look at how unique and cool I am!"
- A character who’s cliched, having qualities or characteristics that are overused by people trying to have a powerful/perfect/cool character.
- And a sad OC is an always depressed character, and that's just a waste of a character space if they are always depressed...if they are going through something and OCs around them can help them out of it, that's fine, but don't make it a defining feature of that character.
So, avoid these two types of characters and be creative.
- No flaming and spamming – I do not want to be going around blocking and clearing posts to clear up space, so please don't flame or spam: that's nothing but wasting space for others.
Rules will be updated when needed.
